MESIROWFX.COM: Another company trying to scam the Territory

PASEA ESTATE, Tortola, VI- Financial investment firms, online companies and others trying to defraud the people of the Virgin Islands (VI) are on the rise. To this end, the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission (FSC) has warned residents about yet another company.

In a statement issued today, Wednesday, May 29, 2024, the FSC said it “considers it necessary to issue this Public Statement in order to protect the customers, creditors or persons who may have been solicited to conduct business by MESIROWFX.COM and to make the general public aware that the person or entity has never been licensed or regulated by the FSC to carry on any type of financial services business”.

MESIROWFX.COM is a fraud- FSC

The FSC in its notice stated that “MESIROWFX.COM is circulating a forged investment business licence and is falsely purporting to be licensed by the FSC for Dealing in Investments and Arranging Deals in Investments”.

The FSC hereby informs the public that MESIROWFX.COM is “not a BVI company and has never been licensed or regulated by the FSC to carry on investment business, or any financial services business, in or from within the Territory of the Virgin Islands”.

The statement asked members of the public to exercise extreme caution if solicited at any time to conduct business with MESIROWFX.COM. The public is invited to provide the FSC with any relevant information on any questionable entities which are purportedly operating in or from within the Territory, and on any improper activities engaged in by such entities the notice opined.

The FSC is the regulator for the financial services sector in the VI, including banks, insurance companies and top financial service managers seeking to hold managing directors posts in this jurisdiction.

    look at the mess what the british virgin islands has gotten themselves into. look back 100 years ago and review what is taking place in the year 2024 and then decide which direction that the british virgin islands is heading to.

    All everybody has to do is NOT sign up for anything until you investigate it, and never give your personal information to anyone. Once you do and then find out they are scammers, your money is gone with no recovery.

    Ok….this is just a public announcement “look at us”
    This is obviously a fake FX company looking to scam from the rich and not the local BVI.
    Someone’s obviously trying to justify their job by releasing this to the BVI press….SMH
