Men 'can't focus if your dress is too tight' in church- Apostle Fahie
"In our local church when you come to church, you have to do a praise check if you are a woman... you lift up your hands if your dress went above your knees... nobody ain't trying to see that," he said on the February 19, 2020, edition of the show.
Along with guest, Pastor Calvin K. Mills, Mrs Christopher had raised questions about the changing dress codes in the modern American church and asked for their opinion on the issue.
Dressing Modestly
According to Mr Fahie, the Bible talks about being dressed modestly and Christians aught to exhibit qualities that represent their faith, "People should look at you and know that you are a Christian, know that you are a believer."
He continued, "How we dress, how we act, what we say, our behaviour, our mannerisms, not only in American culture, right here in the BVI... sometimes I asked them in the church did you grease up with butter or baby oil and jump into that pants?"
"Men are attracted by what they see, so if your dress is too tight and your... Lee and Rachel are standing out, they can't focus if your dress is too tight."
Apostle Fahie said regardless of how the world bends and the church tries to bend with it, the word of God remains the foundation.
'Women are more concerned with looking sexy' - Pastor Mills
Pastor Calvin K. Mills, adding his voice to the conversation, said modesty has gone out the door in the modern church. "Women are more concerned about looking sexy than looking holy, they are just more concerned about that," the Pastor noted.
He added that in current times people dress more for the physical attraction when it should be to get others to be attracted to the God in them.
"So it has to be addressed and I'm glad he's bold about what he is saying, when you come to church... you come just as you are but the goal is not for you to leave just as you came, you come, you are informed, your eyes are opened, you receive revelation, then you need to make some application," Pastor Mills said.
Apostle Fahie encouraged the public to come as they are but noted that after several years in the church, their dress, talk, behaviour and mannerisms should change to reflect the faith.

Then again I feel sorry for you..
We who are professing to be children of God, should be the pace setter for the modern day world. Nothing is wrong in making yourself attractive but do all things in moderation. Instead we adopt to the world's standards with the false hair, nails, boobs, derriere, and so on and so forth. Come on, as women we can do better than that.
Can those who looking spiritual help approach us? If the opportunity presents itself and there's a 'spiritual' war to be fought can you risk going home and coming back? By that time your family member may be dead. My fellow women in Christ, everyday when we leave our house we must endeavour to be ready for war. Not only must we put on the spiritual armour but the physical armour ie (dressing appropriately) as well.
Christ only has our hands, feet, mouthpiece here on earth to carry out his assignments. We must be careful at the end of the journey we do not hear, "Depart from me I know you not."
This is sent in love for all of us Christian women who profess to be blood bought.
However, isn't it strange that all the 'Apostle's' sermons that are rebroadcast on ZBVI every Monday evening are surrounding women? Apostle, you need to get a grip of your self with those messages you have on the radio station. I have never heard you preach about the soon coming of Jesus Christ and the need for people to get their lives in order. Instead it is something of a sexual nature and of women.
You need to check yourself because you certainly have a problem.
And not forgetting the spanish man that speaks after him. Ugghhh.. He irks me. I suggest you take that broadcast off the station and let another pastor who is spiritually inclined and who can preach bible prophecy. The signs of His coming are fast fulfilling and you will be held accountable for these 'sexy' messages that you keep preaching to a lost flock on Sundays. If they would read their bibles they would realise that they are in the wrong church.
Stop focusing on how the women dress and try dressing Jesus in your messages.
Look Holy, are you kidding me, was Sarah looking holy when the King saw her, or Esther or Judith?
GUESS WHAT- and mark my words, HE GOING TO USE THE SEXY-DRESSED TO DO WHAT THE RIGHTEOUS-LOOKING CAN’T DO !!!
Our purpose is to have a relationship with God and apply God’s Word in our lives not just recite it but apply it in our lives.
We can’t think that clocking in every church service and paying tithes automatically brings a blessing for the rest of the week. That’s not how it works. We’re supposed to build up others. It’s not about self.
Our bodies are God’s temple and we should treat it as such.
Men are 'visual beings' so women, being the adults they should be, should have the discernment of what is appropriate or not for church etc.. And yes some are intentional...they are more concerned about looking sexy than looking Godly. We should not conform to the things of the world. Rather we should change the world and that's that!
Aint looking for god ..and some men are so weak they fall in the trap.mothers are are leting their kids do the same thing .
