Masked gunmen who attempted to rob Leverick Bay Resort remain at large
According to reports, the attempted armed robbery occurred shortly after 1:00 PM on Sunday.
Police said reports are that two masked gunmen entered an office at the resort, held the manager at gunpoint, and demanded cash. The suspects eventually fled empty-handed.
Persons told our news centre the gunmen disappeared into some nearby bushes.

Our News Centre was also informed that one staff member was injured during the ordeal and had to be taken to the Nurse Iris O’Neal Medical Centre on Virgin Gorda.
Meanwhile, Police in a press release on May 27, 2024, said they are seeking witnesses or any information regarding the incident.
“If you have any information, please contact the Crime Stoppers line at 800-8477 (TIPS) or, if overseas, at 1-284-800-8477. Alternatively, you can reach the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339. Even seemingly insignificant details could be crucial to the investigation.
“All information provided will be kept confidential,” Police stated.

We now at the mercy of the illegal gun men huh smh. Not being able to protect ourselves legally is not facing reality.
It cannot be that difficult on an island of 5,000 people to find out who these despicable humans are and to arrest them accordingly.
Simply put, do a better job police. Find and arrest these criminals. There is no place for actions such as this on VG
