LONG LOOK, Tortola, VI- An argument between two individuals at The Stickit in Long Look, on the main island of Tortola on Sunday, January 3, 2021, resulted in one being taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital after he was struck in the head with a baseball bat.

According to informing reaching our newsroom, the incident occurred following an argument between two males, with one accusing the other of ganging up with others and beating him up while they were younger.

The man, who claimed to be a victim of bullying in his younger days, allegedly left The Stickit but returned with a metal baseball bat and the argument resumed.

Argument turns physical

It’s alleged that after the victim told the man with the bat that he couldn’t beat him back in the day much less now, he was dealt a blow to the head with the bat.

The victim reportedly fell to the ground in a dazed state but did not lose consciousness.

Police and ambulance were immediately summoned, according to reports, and the victim was rushed to hospital in pain and with a swollen head.

Investigations are said to be ongoing.

It is unclear if the perpetrator has been arrested.

    The one that assault the other guy with the bat is very dangerous. So he was walking around with a grudge from younger days? Damn, the enemy be right up under you. But for real, he could have killed that guy with the blow he dealt him in the head with the bat. That is crazy and makes no sense. And I would hope the guy press charges.

      Look don’t make me laugh with that comment. I do hope the police arrest the man who dealt the blow. The man could have died. I remember a case where a young man was dealt a blow to his head up Bellevue and died eventually. The individual who deal that blow back then is now serving time in prison. That is just a wicked act.

    Lonn Look has been for many past year a troubled part of the B.V.I. Sad but true. but some of the people there can improve in their behaviours, if given loving and fair oppotunities as are given to people of others parts of this Country. However, this will not happen until we understand the we are all responsible to heip then up and foward. I hope the the victim will speedily recovered, and the one that played baseball with the victin skull be delt with as need to.
    Many that talk of Ling Look people do not know nor do they understand the evil that has a lock on that area. let those of us that understand, up to a certain point, pray God's help in unshackling the those that are shackled in Ling Look, not talkdown on them. Remember, whereever living people are, our adversary the devil is there for trouble making.

      Long Look has produced scores of high level civil servants business people and private sector workers From commissioners to lawyers to legislators to doctors to magistrates to Trust directors and so on. The problem is that people like to repeat crap that they hear and you come lately and don’t even know who is who. That place is now a hot spot for low income housing that’s fact. To many people have lost hope or have been unjustly kept down because of the history of excellence from that area. long look people were hard workers and freedom fighters, how do we get back to that only God knows.

    Well that bullying perpetrator was shown by his victim that he ,the ,victim could fight back. Could have been a gun or a solid woodbat. Childhood trauma leaves deep scars.
    Even though it was a situation in their boyhood days,the victim was owed an apology not more boastful bullying nonsense.
