BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI- A man was reportedly taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital with gaping stab wounds following a fight with another man at Baughers Bay, Tortola, yesterday afternoon, June 24, 2020.

According to reports, an argument between the two men escalated into a fight when one of the men attacked the other with a broken beer bottle.

The incident, allegedly witnessed by several persons, occurred in the vicinity of a bar, close to VI Blocks.

"Hey it happened so fast I can’t tell you how it got started," one person told Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) while stating, "All I see was ‘Sutton’ pounding away on the man with a bottle." 

The victim was taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital in a private vehicle.

It’s our information that the accused, who received injuries to his hands, is currently in police custody.
