Back in the day, it was very rare to hear of gun shootings. Now it is every week and even more than once a week. I don't like the turn of events that has been going on. Will the government please bring back a peaceful and safe BVI? Why has the government allowed our futures to be lived in fear now? I long for the good old days when we were one family, helping each other with pride. These hateful and dangerous people have killed our image of love and serenity. I don't care if you were born here or not, PLEASE LEAVE!

A mental unstable man in SCB walking around with a gun. Suppose he had started shooting random people.

Exactly what I am saying. A Good Samaritan risk his life and safety to try and disarm a mentally unstable person with a loaded gun and end up getting shot in the process. I wish the Good Samaritan the best and a speedy recovery. The mentality unstable person could have started shooting random people just walking along the road minding their business

I have another one for you. Where are his relatives? He is clearly mentally retarded. Who is responsible for our differently abled relatives? Us? The government? Should there be a discussion on planned parenthood and family planning? Should people who are already genetically and psychosocially stressed be……. Imma stop right there.
    • @inspector (07/06/2023, 12:10) Like (15) Dislike (1) Reply
Perhaps and it is a possibility that the gun was given to him to be hidden or he found it. Walter don’t have any money to by a gun. Hate to say it but Walter family need to get him so serious help. That man is one of the seriously mental ill ones like the one that looks like he is 12 months pregnant that is always slapping people in the street. A normal person does not go around slapping people on the street.

Sadly, life will go on as normal because the government and law enforcement are too soft on these fools. Look at that big st!@#ing blob who does be in town beggin....how many people did he slap off??? But yet, he's still allowed to walk around freely SMH

About a year ago, a mentally unstable person walked in front of our vehicle and pulled a gun on us swearing that we tried to run him down. We were thankful that we escaped and went our way. Made no sense in reporting him as Tola is small and he would have been right back on the streets if taken off at all.
      • @What a mess in Tola (07/06/2023, 14:31) Like (7) Dislike (1) Reply
AND YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU SHOULD HAVE STEPPED HARD ON THE PEDAL AND RUN HIS BEHIND DOWN FLAT ON THE STREET, I WOULD HAVE DONE IT. YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT NOT REPORTING IT TO THE POLICE. NOTHING WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE ABOUT IT AND HE WOULD HAVE BEEN RIGHT BACK ON THE STREET.

I believe the guy in town that slaps visitors and residents' family are from other regions ... so I guess the government will have to deal with his care.

As a concern citizen from the bottom of my heart, I want the free concert to be postponed and here’s why. My concern is SAFETY. I AM NOT GOING TO SUGAR COAT ANYTHING, WE HAVE A BEYOND SERIOUS FIRE ARM PROBLEM IN THE COUNTRY. IF THE GUNSLINGERS IS WALKING AROUND CARRYING GUNS THEY ARE GOING TO BE WALKING AROUND A FREE FOR ALL CONCERT carrying guns. That concert was a bad idea and bad planning. WOW JUST SHAKING MY HEAD, A QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS COULD HAVE BEEN USED TO IMPROVE THE SCHOOLS WHICH IS IN DIRE NEED OF IMPROVEMENT. WOW MR. PREMIER, YOU REALLY DON’T GIVE A BLANK ABOUT………………………………!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Behavioral health is not a mental institution; all of you in this department need to get you all act together. what a mental challenged person doing walking around to even have a gun picked up, if he had started shooting random people what would you all have to say? Lets have a candle light vigil and putting up bows around the place, play some gospel song for a day and that's it? Seriously? I thought the song said that here is second to none. " GET YOU ALL ACT TOGETHER" really see what is priority here in this here place. "SHALOM"

@ Help us All. I second the motion and I endorse your comments 100%. Especially with our education system where there is need for so much improvements. A portion of that money needs to be given to the Ministry of Education to equip the schools with what they need and take the burdens off the poor parents who are asked to buy fans and printing paper to put in the classrooms. It is obvious that the premier has his priorities set wrong.

And I am not in any way shape or form being cruel or to scare anyone, I agree, this will also be pushed to the side. This mental issue thing that is going on is not going to be taken seriously and addressed until someone is killed by a mentally unstable person. A lot of mentality unstable people hear voices in their heads telling them to kill or anyone they come in contact with is coming to destroy them so they react. Walter could have used the gun to shoot innocent people. His relatives needs to figure out a way to keep him off the streets because he is going to kill somebody. Prison is not the answer. He needs to be sent off Island and placed in a mental institution to get the proper help that he needs.

If a mentally ill person has a loaded firearm, imagine what the sane individuals have. The dance would have been way different if this lunatic had turn loose with that gun because he see people looking like mangos in psychotic moment. This stuff is serious.

BVI need a proper facility for mentally ill patients and get them off the street. Last night right by Scatots steps, the town nuisance was right there and there was no were to run once I came out the car. God forbid he had a calgon moment at the same time and burs me a slap. We have the money, let us take mental health seriously.

This man could have easily gone in class room and start spraying. What would the uproar have been like

Walter is from down this side but I will try to avoid him at all cost, don’t want him anywhere near my property or I will have to call the police. Today a gun, tomorrow a cutlass or a hammer. One of my great aunts that is living in St.Thomas a couple of years ago was hanging clothes on the clothes line and a mentality unstable man walk up in the yard with a cutlass and fire one chop at her, if she did not put her hand up he would have chop her face. To this day my elderly aunt carry the scar that runs from her wrist to her elbow
