ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Trevor Frett, a resident of Purcell Estate, has to fork up $750 or spend two months in jail for allegedly biting the mother of his child who refused him sex sometime in April, 2016.

The decision was imposed on the accused by Magistrate Ayanna O. Baptiste-DaBreo on Friday January 20, 2017 after he decided to plead guilty to the charge when the court heard from him that the bite wasn’t a malicious but friendly act.

The charge was for common assault.

The man’s child mother was offended and took her complaint to the Family Support Network (FSN) and subsequently a report was made to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, stating that her partner had returned home and attempted to kiss her in a sexual advance. She claimed that his breath had the stench of strong alcohol.

Friendly gesture

She denied his advances while noting the presence of their child. He then went to bed but got up during the course of the night and made another advance and again the woman refused to give in. It was at that stage that he allegedly bit her in a “friendly” gesture but the woman reportedly told police that he had gotten upset and bit her leaving his teeth marks on her hand. The woman was offended and took the matter to the police.

The woman had cause to file a complaint against Frett, accusing him also of pushing and locking her out of their home. This reportedly occurred on April 16, 2016.

When Frett found himself before the Magistrate’s Court on December 9, 2016 he was made to pay a fine of $350 after he pleaded guilty to cursing and behaving unruly to police officers when they visited his home in relation to another matter which took place on July 23, 2016.

If you have to bite for sex, you may as well put on your clothes and call it a nigh. Anybody biting me up in bed the wrong way is getting bit back the wrong way. It would be bite for bite. And two biting people up in bed is not fun.

So dont bite me and I would not bite you, and we can get down to business if your know what I mean.

If you want to have some fun, but me the right way or else.

No means NO. What he did was sexual assault. If she felt offended she's correct in pressing charges. Yes, a husband can. Rape a wife and vice-versa.
