Man falls into empty oil tank at Ports Authority
A Virgin Islands News Online's reporter was on the scene after the ambulance and fire truck arrived, however, but was unable to enter the port.
According to information received from sources at the Ports Authority, the crew member may have been consumed by the fumes and fell into the empty petroleum tank which he was at the time checking.
The Fire and Rescue and ambulance were summoned to the scene and he was removed after efforts by members of the Ports proved futile.
While his condition is unknown, the man was taken by the ambulance to Peebles Hospital where he is currently under observation.
