Man dies following boat accident in Road Harbour
According to reports, the man has been identified as Trevon Thomas aka ‘Mutty Don’.
Information is sketchy, but this news site learned from sources that Thomas, who is said to be from the US Virgin Islands, was in a boat when it slammed into an object in the water sometime after 9am.
The young man was flung into the water. He was rushed to Peebles Hospital with severe injuries and subsequently died.
The accident was caught on video and has been circulating on social media. Expressions of shock and condolences are also being shared on Facebook.
The video, which has been shared with this news site, shows two power boats moving at a fast rate alongside each other when one of the boats collided with an object in the water.
Another person who was in the boat, Tarik Aaron, was also injured and was rushed to hospital. It is not clear who was driving the boat at the time.
Police Information Officer Diane Drayton has confirmed the accident and the death of an individual.
"Police are confirming a lone boating accident this morning in Road Harbour. One male has died as a result of injuries sustained. No further information is available at this time. Investigations are ongoing into the matter," Drayton said in a statement sent to the media.

just because you have the wide ocean doesn't mean that responsibility should be ignored. racing boats is like racing cars, some boaters drink and think nothing of it or are wreckless because they feel invincible. if the engine is more powerful than the boat is heavy, it can go airborne. We have to teach boaters responsibility. RIP.

Yeah, someone in his crew set the accident up. Yeah fake crew, you have a RAT/RATZzzz.
What they did was reckless and for people to act like they were doing such a great thing, is the reason why these guys are the way they are. They are dropping dead on these scooters, now it's these boats. No one says you cannot ride a scooter or sail a boat, but there is a way it is to be done. You live by the sword, you die by the sword. We sending a message that what these guys were doing is okay. It was not, and we need to say it. He died by his own hands, no one else's.

A word of advise to T****** and his little group/gang and what's left of it. Take back those three 300sx engines to Kingston that you'll stole earlier. Until you take them back, things will continue to happen to you'll. Be man and bold enough and just take them back. Stop violating people's property.
