Man collapses on sidewalk @ Pasea Estate

A man was taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital after he collapsed on the sidewalk near Island Paints Ltd at Pasea Estate this evening, March 26, 2021. Photo: Team of Reporters
PASEA ESTATE, Tortola, VI- A man was taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital after he collapsed on the sidewalk near Island Paints Ltd at Pasea Estate this evening, March 26, 2021.

According to reports, the man was seen on the ground by passersby who stopped to render assistance just after 8:00pm.

It is suspected the man may have experienced a seizure.

An ambulance was called and the man was whisked away for medical attention.

He was reportedly responsive at the time of being taken to the hospital.

      Hope he has recovered and doing well... One of the issue thats going on here that needs attention is that people are not working, their NHI is suspended, they are not feeling well but they dont have money to see a doctor,,, So they go along with hope and faith, sometimes thats not enough, medical attention is required, but no money.. Sad

      If he had taken the vaccine they won't blame it on the vaccine cause they want everybody most pushing the elderly to come forward and take the vaccine..they know the reason why and they not saying all the side effects about the vaccine...

    These recently mishaps of peoples issue with there health after vaccination..something to observe since it is a experiment on human as it was never properly observed in labs to be of it accurate results on it .....expect anything with our health after all

      I took it and feel great as do all the 100s of others I know personally including my parents in their 70s and in laws in their 80s. When I travel next month I also feel much happier knowing that I now have much less chance of contracting covid and becoming seriously ill. I know many persons that prior to the vaccine were very sick with covid some of whom continue to be down with long covid.
      But keep on spreading your negativity and doubts whilst the children suffer out of school, parents scrambling to get food on the table, depression rates climb due to lack of income, increasing rates of domestic violence, taxes go up to raise government revenues whilst their normal sources dry up. You just carry on ignoring the millions of people that now have protection against covid and the thousands that took part in clinical trials before that.

    Imagine I was the second person on the scene trying to assist the gentleman who seems like he was dying and everyone and I say every car passed by before I stopped to assist. What kind of world we are living in? Secondly, the ambulance is 5mins away and they took so long to arrive to the scene. It is sad!! Very sad! I hope the gentleman is doing fine.

      God bless you citizen, you did your civic duty. Your good deed will not go unnoticed. Most motorists do the obvious and go along their merry way. Had it been a fight or accident some would be quick on scene with phones out recording. This is the society we live in. Hope the individual is doing well.
