Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with an underage girl, robbery, fraud and theft were some of the charges dished out by ranks of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) during the period March 31 to April 6, 2019. Photo: Internet Source

UNLAWFUL SEXUAL INTERCOURSE WITH A GIRL UNDER AGE 16

On 02-04-2019 at 9:15am, Police arrested and charged Raffique Pope, 21, of Albion Estate, Tortola with one count of Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a girl under the age of 16 years. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in the sum of $80,000 with $70,000 signed bail and a $10,000 cash component.

THEFT

On 02-04-2019 at 1:00pm, Police arrested and charged Kendald Luis Fanord-Jose, 26, of Georges Hollow and Donald Lettsome, 25, of Great Mountain for Theft and Unlawful Possession of Proceeds of Criminal Conduct. Fanord was charged additionally with Handling Stolen Goods.

ASSAULT OCCASIONING ACTUAL BODILY HARM

On 02-04-2019 at 9:20pm, Police arrested and charged Shavoy Dasent, 18, of Belle Vue for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one signed surety for his appearance before Magistrate’s Court on 07-05-2019 at 9:00am.

ROBBERY

On 03-04-2019 at 4:45pm, Police arrested and charged Verne Forbes Jr. with one count of Robbery and one count of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm.

FRAUD

On 06-04-2019 at 5:52pm, Police arrested and charged Jakeya Fergus, 18, of The Valley, Virgin Gorda with Obtaining Property on Forged Document, Forgery and Uttering Forged Documents. She was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one signed surety for her appearance before the Magistrate's Court at 9:00am on 10-05-2019. 

TAKING CONVEYANCE

On 06-04-2019 at 21:45pm, Police arrested and charged Okeem Rhoden, 23, a native of Jamaica, residing in McNamara for the following offences: Taking Conveyance; Driving without a Driver's License, Driving when not covered by a Policy of Insurance, Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle, and Driving an Uninsured Vehicle.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED DRUG WITH INTENT

On 06-04-2019 at 7:10pm, Police arrested and charged Royanson Arrington, 28, of Purcell Estate with two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply.  He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one signed surety for his appearance before Magistrate's Court on 14-05-2019 at 9:00am.

COMMON ASSAULT

On 02-04-2019 at 5:00pm, Police arrested and charged Oliver Chinnery of Little Harbour for two counts of Common Assault. He was granted bail in the sum of $2,000 to appear at the Magistrate's Court on 14-05-2019 at 9:00am.
