Man arrested for allegedly setting WE garage on fire
According to reports reaching Virgin Islands News Online, the suspect was involved in an argument with the owner of the garage prior to the blaze yesterday afternoon.
Further, our newsroom was told that the suspect, after threatening to burn the workshop down lit a fire in the workshop but it was put out by the owner, who then proceeded to remove vehicles from the workshop before leaving to make a report to the police station.
It was when the owner left the garage that the suspect allegedly lit another fire that would destroy the workshop and damaged a few vehicles.
According to reports, the suspect had accused the owner of Godfrey’s Garage of knowing who had used his towel.
Our newsroom was also told that several persons in the area had complained about the suspect being a constant annoyance and had filed reports against him prior to yesterday’s incident.
