Man arrested for allegedly beating up sister

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) were allegedly forced to respond to a domestic dispute at a Tortola home after a fight between two siblings turned violent.

According to reports, several siblings were at the home when an argument ensued between a brother and a sister.

It is alleged the brother held on to the hair of his sister and dealt her several blows to her face.

The female had to be rescued by others in the home.

She reportedly suffered a busted eyelid and complained of severe pain to one side of her face.

The RVIPF was summoned to the home and, upon investigation, it was determined the female sibling was indeed a subject of domestic violence.

The brother was taken into custody on suspicion of Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm.

Investigations continue into the matter.

      Normally no one should respond to comments like yours but I will make an exception. You if you are deemed to "be from here" do not represent the vast number of BV Islanders. I really doubt you are but somehow you find it so important to crave from some deep festered, sick part of your mind deprive this world of any good that you are unable to sow anything than hatred and confusion. How can you be human? It would appear that somewhere in your life you were deprived of love...unappreciated and the only reason you exist is to make other look small because the truth is you are much smaller than they.         The person made that comment because he/she knows the reaction/response they'll get? It doesn't necessarily mean that the commenter is a BVIslander. I don't know why many of you don't just ignore the ignorance and stop buying into it EVERY SINGLE TIME.

    @We are in trouble.. He should not be fighting his sister. Which woman wants him and he did not set an example.If he hit his own sister what he will do his woman.He will kill her. To his sister have no fear but god dont sleep. Speedy recovery sister.. If your mother did not deal with it, the police did..I hope he apologise to his sister. He needs anger management classes an stay away for her. Look what he have done to his sister.. look how she have to remember him as being an abuser to her.Sister please get some counselling.

    I am amused though how as soon as a post says the simplest thing about Island people , some people take the opportunity to type degrading things/ slander BV Islanders.
