DUFF'S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI - Mentoring Anointed Leaders Everywhere (M.A.L.E.), a guidance counselling organisation for young men, will on this Friday October 30, 2015 be hosting its second edition of Calling All Fathers.

The session, unlike the first edition which sought to focus on fathers up to the age of 34, will be open to all fathers of any age.

It is to be held on the rooftop of the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff’s Bottom.

President of M.A.L.E. Pastor Henderson K. Tittle gave this news site a brief interview regarding the upcoming rap session among fathers.

"The session begins at 7:30 pm this Friday on the rooftop of the Save the Seed Energy Centre and we're asking all fathers regardless of their age, regardless of their beliefs," he said.

"We are basically gathering to put our heads together to come up with ideas so that we could help our sons, the young men of this territory and potential fathers," he said, adding that expecting fathers are more than welcome to the session.

Mr Tittle said these sessions are something the body would like to see continued at least once a month on rooftops and noted that the organisation will examine the possibility of other buildings being used for the sessions.

At the first session on October 2, 2015, the discussion was a free flowing one which saw participants opening up in a way men tend not to, with the overriding factor being the importance of fathers in the lives of their children.

They shared stories of how they longed for their fathers in their lives and even for some time harboured feelings of ill will towards their fathers to the point of wanting to physically hurt them.

Others shared stories of being ill-treated by their fathers and how easy it was to mirror that behaviour in the lives of their own children. But in the end they all sought to ensure that the past would be used as a guide to make things better in the lives of their own children.

Friday night's session is expected to last for about an hour and a half the most.

As long as NLB has anything to do with it it will not prosper. NLB is a cult..

Pat and James you all sound so silly. Why do people get into the habit of calling churches cults? do you know the definition of a cult? some of your same relatives go there. As much as I would not worship there because I worship on the Sabbath, I do not see and would not call NLBC a cult. I have heard Seventhday Adventist churches being called a cult as well, but that is okay, we know in whom we believe. Pat, so what if Dead Beat dads attend? That would be something very positive because it would mean a step in the right direction to supporting their children. We need to stop the hating and appreciate the efforts being made for a better society.
