Major expansion plans for ESHS in 2015 – Hon Myron V. Walwyn
It was the occasion where the school’s newly appointed acting Principal Sandy M. Underhill made her debut address to teachers, administrators, students, the media and other key stakeholders in the Multi Purpose Complex in Road Town.
“I had to come by to say to you that the new Principal Ms Sandy M. Underhill has my full support as Minister (for) Education and Culture. I am asking teachers, I am asking parents, I am asking the wider community to support the school and support the initiatives of the school,” said the Hon Minister.
He said that for the 2015 there will be some critical changes made to aid in the process of making the environment for education more friendly, including the construction of a cafeteria, an auditorium and more importantly the division of the school into two sections, junior and senior.
Hon Walwyn said that currently architects are on the ground at the school working out the demarcations as to how they can design the separation of the two sections.
“So when we do all these things to improve education, to improve the environment for you, I am going to ask you to do one single thing for me, take your education seriously. Come to school prepared to learn… Take your responsibility as a student very seriously,” he challenged students of the ESHS as he wished them all a successful year ahead.
