The reggae star is expected to make an appearance at the Caribbean Cellars Warehouse in Long Bush, Tortola, on Friday at 1:00 pm in support of Saturday’s HempFest at Jost van Dyke.
Packed Itinerary
According to a press release from the event organisers, shortly after his appearance in Long Bush, ‘Luciano’ will also be stopping by at Mellow Moods Café on Fleming Street in Road Town, Tortola.
“The kids at YEP in Parham Town will be excited to know that Luciano will be stopping by there at three pm to talk with them about the positive aspects of being a musician, and then he will visit with the Rastafari Association at PlantWise, on Great Mountain,” the release further notes.
For the 2019 edition of the HempFest, the day will feature a Vendor’s Market and Fashion Show, with the evening musical lineup championed by artists like JahLand, MP3, IllMindz and Ritical, with Luciano headlining.
Conversations on Cannabis
Keynote Speakers will include Virgin Islands (VI) legislator, Hon. Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) and Senator Positive T.A. Nelson from St Croix, US Virgin Islands (USVI), both aiming to sensitise the public on the benefits of Cannabis to the VI economy.
Ferries will be running from West End, and will be leaving that port at 7:00 and 9:00 pm respectively and returning to Tortola at Midnight and 1:00 am. The cost of the roundtrip for the ferry is set at $30.
