Concerns raised over treatment of visitors, residents by “some” Immigration Officers
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The discourteous treatment of visitors and residents by certain immigration officers was a concern expressed by members of the Standing Finance Committee (SFC) with members calling for persons to be treated courteously when entering the Territory.

Alvin Christopher: House of Assembly not a rubber stamp for Cabinet!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Second District representative and former Government Minister J. Alvin Christopher told the 2012 Standing Finance Committee (SFC) during a presentation by the Financial Secretary, Neil Smith when discussing the public debt and deficit that the Virgin Islands arrived in the financial circumstances because “we constantly made commitments based on Cabinet decisions”.

Lettsome International Airport development is being looked at with a fine tooth comb, and according to the Natural Resources Minister Dr. Kedrick Pickering, nothing will be done to destroy the area.
VI Gov’t not looking for mass tourism!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Government of the Virgin Islands is not pushing for mass tourism as it maps out the future of the tourism product, instead it will be focusing on “low impact, high output” declared Minister for Natural Resources and Labour, Dr. Kedrick Pickering at a town hall meeting to discuss the airport expansion last evening, March 29, 2012 at the Sir. Rupert Briercliffe Hall.
