Hon. Skelton wants special parking for Ministers!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - During the House of Assembly Standing Finance Committee (SFC) meeting held for the deliberation on the 2013 national Budget Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Ronnie W. Skelton made a request for designated parking spaces for Ministers of Government.
Second District Rep not convinced Territory needs expanded airport
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Opposition Member and Second Disctrict Representative Hon. J. Alvin Christopher said he is not convinced the Territory needs a “long haul” airport, but if this must be the case, then there are other options.

VIslanders' minds not conditioned for certain jobs – Hon. Walwyn

Walwyn believes that part of the Territory's unemployment problem, arises in his estimation, through a situation whereby Virgin Islanders are not mentally conditioned to do certain jobs; something which has resulted in the introduction of expatriates to the Territory to fill these roles.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Deputy Premier and Minister for Natural Resources and Labour Dr the Honourable Kedrick Pickering has announced the established of an Employment Unit within the Labour Department and added that the Department is now working on a policy where it must be the first place where jobs are advertised.
Opposition Member suggests Government in breach of Protocols
