In exchange for direct flights between Miami International Airport and Beef Island, Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL) gave BVI Airways, a company who left the Territory in 2014 saying they were bankrupt and had owed the BVI Airports Authority some $100,000, more funds via a big giveaway.
