Leaked document: Cindy Rosan asked for over $1M of taxpayers $$ for being fired
Ms Rosan’s position as Events Manager at The BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission (BVITBFC) was made redundant in December 2020.
Ms Rosan had alleged victimisation because of her criticism of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) government and had confirmed to Virgin Islands News Online she was going to challenge her abrupt termination.
“Absolutely, I’ve left it with my lawyer,” Ms Rosan had stated.
Rosan wants over $1M from public purse
Now, according to information in the public domain, Rosan wants over $1M as a settlement for her termination.
The information was reportedly leaked to the public sometime over the weekend.
According to the leaked information, dated October 28, 2022, and addressed to the Chair of the BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission, Mrs Delma Maduro, Rosan asked for $1,060, 839.32 (plus legal fees) as settlement for her firing.
Rosan wanted some $216,000.00 in “loss of past earnings” and “loss of future earnings” for two years.
The talk show host also wanted $70,000.00 for her Personal Loan default, $48,000.00 for her “Inability to Complete Mortgage”, and $100,000.00 for “Damage to Financial Reputation”.
Regarding “Non-Economic Damages”, Rosan wanted $50,000.00 for stress and emotional distress, $50,000.00 for public embarrassment, and $30,000.00 for “Loss of Amenities (Life’s Joy)”.
Regarding her claims of wrongful termination, Rosan asked for $125,000.00. She also wanted $75,000.00 for ‘Victimisation’, $75,000.00 for ‘Defamation’, $100,000.00 for ‘Damage to Personal Reputation’, and $100,000.00 for ‘Damage to Professional Reputation’.
Premier has refused to give Rosan $1M
According to reports, Premier Wheatley has refused to meet those demands by Ms Rosan.
“This is why she hates the Premier so much. He refused to give Cindy a million dollars of taxpayers $$,” a note written on the leaked page stated.
Meanwhile, Rosan issued a statement on Sunday, October 13, 2024, saying she is aware of a leaked page of a confidential document regarding “that ongoing case” against the BVI Tourist Board, circulating on social media.
“This page is part of a confidential letter written almost two years ago, that was served on only entities of the Premier’s portfolio, and remained confidential until it was leaked on What’s App today. This is most unfortunate. My legal counsel will address the matter in the proper arena,” the statement read.
Rosan also said she challenged her termination, “which is my right, and the matter is presently before the BVI Labour (Arbitration) Tribunal.”
Rosan confirmed to our News Centre about issuing the statement. Asked why she believed it was leaked, Ms Rosan said, “You’ll have to refer to the Premier on the second part of the question. It’s his portfolio that such a breach occurred from.”
At the time of publication, Premier Wheatley had not responded to our request for his comment.
A hater of Premier Wheatley & VIP Gov’t
Rosan has been insulting to Premier Wheatley, calling him a child, not fit for office and turning up at press conference to ask him personal questions.
She once said that the former premier, Andrew A. Fahie, deserved the death penalty for purporting to use the Virgin Islands as a trans-shipment port for cocaine destined to the United States.
She has made public her hatred for the Virgin Islands Party and vowed to get them out of government.
Former Speaker Julian Willock is another person Rosan has expressed her disdain for.
Ms Rosan also has a history of leaking information on topical issues in the Virgin Islands, including the recent government sponsorship of the Vybz Kartel concert in March 2025, although she falsely claimed the government was pouring almost a million dollars into it.

Ayo stop encouraging Cindy with her bull sh**, if it was such a law suit why did she go to the Premier and ask him to Pay her that money.Preaching one thing while doing another,damn hypocrite. Let Cindy talk about all the grants she have received from government eg school fees for kids, electricity, rent and the list goes on.
Give her the damages due after screwing up her financial life. That is only fair.
Id give blistering hateful attacks every day if I lost my house because of government victimization and typical every day tomfoolery that never hit the courts. If everyone lay a claim for the crap government does & did over the years itd be broke.
The police sweep people up off the floor. no real safety. Prices sky high to suit a few. no consumer protection. I can go on. The message is loud & clear; YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. Unless you are in one of the secret clubs or a gang, same thing!
