Who said Dictators are on the decline?

Whether in long established Nations, newly formed Territories, at home or abroad, Citizens are fast losing faith in their Political Leaders as the impudence of Power continues to demonstrate its ability to breed Evil and accept Ignorance… Internationally we see Powerful Nations invade weaker ones, steal their Resources, destroy their homes and bomb their productive Citizens into Refugee Status.

Even then, we watch as they blame others for the resulting Crises and refuse to assist as Families are uprooted, Children drown and Civilization is marred by lost generations… At home, we too look on in silence as Medical and Educational Schemes imposed by Leaders effectively retard the Knowledge and Productivity of our Children while destroying the Health and Economy of our Country.

We all should be fully committed to ensuring the Highest level Education is easily obtained by our Children and that Quality Health Care is made affordable and available for all Citizens… However, by pushing our High School Education backwards and imposing a flawed Health Insurance Scheme, Government creates conditions that will negatively affect this generation and many more to come.

When their ways forward move backward:

It is no accident this proposed NHIS is designed to operate as a Piggy Bank for covering Political Mistakes and Ambitions at the expense of the People so, our Leaders are knowingly unfair and willfully wrong to call Persons, who already struggling to maintain their own Health Insurances, Selfish or Bad-minded simply because they are reluctant to downgrade their Private Coverage to NHIS.

Perhaps Government feels that our being foolish enough to become trapped in their Snap Election gave them the right to abuse us… However, even in Dictatorships it is legally and morally wrong to use threats and duress to force Citizens into commitments against their free will… Besides, Voters are already recognising their mistake and accepting the likelihood that they may have to help themselves.

Even with all the frustration we must be careful not to let our Anger generate over-reactions and Violence or nothing useful will be accomplished… Petitions may provide feel-good-relief but a more effective approach is to take your concerns directly to your Elected Leaders and refuse to sign onto anything until and unless you fully understand and agree to the Terms and Conditions being placed before you.

Selling our Souls for the Dreams of a Dollar:

Fact is, there is no legal Penalty for Self-defense or any justified Rewards for being foolish… However, their threats and pressure are likely to persist since those most wrong often make the most noise… Be prepared for deep stubbornness and high resistance but this will be a true test of their Leadership and our own commitment to fixing and improving NHIS and other Social Systems must not be derailed.

As in Slavery and Colonialism, your biggest Enemies are those you fight to save thus, those Private Health Providers who see themselves growing Rich from this Scheme at the expense of Citizens, may be so blinded by the magnetic pull of the elusive Dollar that they fail to see the only way this Scheme can finance the Hospital, BVIHSA and Political Mistakes is by destroying Private Providers.

NB: - This foundation was skillfully laid by having the Co-pay for Government Hospital and Clinics at 0% - 5% while forcing Private Providers to charge between 10% - 20%... Furthermore, the actual Rates of the Public Services will be concealed and this lack of transparency not only prevents Fair Market Competition but provides fertile conditions for a Government Sponsored Ponzi Scheme.

Don’t mix up GI (Government Issued) Soldiers with Armchair Warriors:

Before closing I say, without apology, ‘I like all the Employees of the NHIS Department’ – They are merely conscripted Foot Soldiers in an unfortunate Battle and are obliged to sell the Fish even when it stinks… Our Sympathy will be deeply required by ordinary men and women forced to believe in promises that will not be delivered and become Victims of physical, medical and financial strain.

Finally, our People may not know better, but our Politicians, especially those who call us Selfish, certainly do… In fact they know exactly how to vote themselves huge Salaries and Allowances to cover every Nut, Bolt, Washer, Screw and fool-fool NHIS so as to never feel our strain or suffer our pain… Perhaps they still see us as Fools but we are not and it’s time they apologised to us.

I wonder who helped those who refer to us as selfish. If we. Are so selfish how were you nurtured? Maybe some people forget on purpose. They talk about people coming to them for help. Tell us whose money is used to help. Tax payers dollars. Time for the premier and his crew be honest with the people. Stop taking advantage of the people to garner friendships and fatten the pockets of your friends from abroad and your chosen few at home. Do not push things down our throats and think we are always going to take it.
