Labour Department Officers receive top commendations
According to a Press Release dated, November 15, 2018, Kia Soares, Leonardo Callwood and Marylene Tyson received exceptional ratings following their interactions with the public.
The release noted that Deputy Governor Mr David D. Archer, Jr and members of his team visited the department and presented the trio with their letters of recognition in the presence of Labour Commissioner, Mrs Janice Rymer.
The release said Mr Archer was pleased at the quick response of the public just one day after the system went live.
He extolled the endeavours of each officer in their efforts to provide the best possible service to their customers.
The officer’s ratings provided by members of the public ranged from being patient, clear and knowledgeable to empathetic, kind and positive.
The Public Service Customer Service Virtual Mailbox was launched on November 12 and is implemented in nine customer facing departments namely: Motor Vehicles; Labour; Immigration; Her Majesty’s Customs; Youth Affairs and Sports; Water and Sewerage; Social Development; Trade, Investment Promotion and Consumer Affairs and the Civil Registry and Passport Office.
The mailbox is designed to answer the question, ‘How did I serve you?’ It provides a source of transparency and accountability in the area of customer service as the Public Service transforms to attain ‘Public Service Excellence’.
