Khemoe Foy Jr wins 'KO Shootout' in presence of D’Moi M. Hodge
This set the stage for Khemoe Foy Jr to showcase his shooting accuracy, as he won the shootout.
Foy Jr was congratulated by Los Angeles Lakers player D’Moi M. Hodge, the first [British] Virgin Islander to play in the NBA.
Some 200 participants of the basketball camp were able to get a feel of the rigours of Hodge’s training routine.
Hodge had previously said he was “eager” to give back to the community that groomed him into the young man he is today.
VI celebrates D’Moi M. Hodge’s achievements
The Virgin Islands celebrated the achievement of Hodge with a special motorcade and welcome home ceremony on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
Additionally, The Government of the Virgin Islands presented the young basketballer with a cheque for $20,000, while National Bank of the Virgin Islands (NBVI) gave him a cheque for $5,000.
It was also announced by Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) that the Cane Garden Bay Basketball Court will be renamed in honour of Mr Hodge.

Stop trying to be so different to the point the BVI looks foolish.
The USVI just reported that Aaliyah Boston is their Tourism Ambassador. Now that sounds more professional.
