Coming off the heels of attending a trade show recently in New Orleans, Mr Anselm held a one-day workshop at Maria’s by the Sea for plumbers, AC repair persons and general pool maintenance persons on March 8, 2024.

While in New Orleans, Mr Anselm said he met with personnel from heating pump manufacturer AquaCal and pool equipment distributors Horna Express, and a discussion was started about their expertise being shared with technicians and maintenance persons in the Virgin Islands.

“And that is what it came down to, to get them down here and [together with] some of my techs, the AC guys, the plumbers, to be more familiar with the heat pumps and the salt system units.

‘Knowledge is power’

Mr Anselm said knowledge is power and he was happy to facilitate the imparting of knowledge in that technical area.

“I believe technology changes every year, so as the years change, we have to change the ways of how we do business nowadays. So, I am happy to see all of those guys come out in numbers to support it and to have better knowledge of how the company is moving forward.

“There are so many products that we have to deal with, heat pumps are just one aspect of Horna Products. We have the tiling company, we have the AquaCal, we have the salt system so it’s going to be more. Every year we are going to add more and most of the other companies we familiarise with.”

‘Keeping the clients happy’ in a ‘warm pool!

Mr Anselm said KAD Pool Services Limited funded the workshop with the end goal of keeping clients happy, as it’s never a happy experience when heating pumps malfunction and clients can’t use their pool or spa because the water is cold.

“So now that they guys would have the knowledge of repairing the heat pumps much quicker and have easier access to the parts at KAD Pool Services Office, it makes it much easier to solve the problem,” Mr Anselm reasoned.
