The Immigration Department does not have the authority to close any port of entry or redirect vessels to another port. They are responsible for the clearance of passengers.

be careful over there. even though the british virgin islands is a tourist destination does not stop the terrorists from coming into the british virgin islands to commit terrorism in the british virgin islands. there is a lot of global terrorism going on around the globe and even though the british virgin islands is located in the caribbean does not mean that terrorist cannot find out locations to commit terrorism. since the age of 34 i have been living in homeless shelter and sleeping outside on the sidewalk and on the streets. i do not have family members and relatives that would help with united states citizenship and immigration services and immigration and naturalization services and department of homeland security and with united states department of justice and immigration and customs enforcement and us border patrol. even though i have a british passport for the british virgin islands i do not have an employment authorization document nor a us permanent resident card nor a us alien registration receipt card and number and state identification card and us social security card. even british citizens from british overseas territories are not safe travelling around the usa with a british birth certificate and a british passport for the british virgin islands. the authorities and law enforcement target british virgin islanders everyday and everywhere in the usa. my $27,000 in college tuition fees for college and university has been all ruined and destroyed. all my belongings have been destroyed at the orlando motel in orlando florida and at lake hollingsworth apartmentment and at lake bonnie apartment building in lakeland florida and at 1465-69-71 bushwick avenue brooklyn new york apartment building and at 18 north terry avenue orlando florida. since january 2002 there has been an extreme amount of incidents of terrorism being committed towards the british virgin islands and british virgin islanders.

the united kingdom/great britain government/ politicians/ and royal family is longer interested in protecting the 14 british overseas territories any longer. there is no where to go to to escape the constant every day act of terrorist committing terrorism everyday.

Hi Ms Varlack, if you wish to come home please go to the nearrst UK Embassy and ask for help. Let them know your current situation and explain what you require. Please make sure you to walk with all of your prescribed medication or ask your current healthcare provider to provide you a prescription and letter outlining your present condition. If you are able to contact your family, friends, former schoolmates or any of the local Churches to see how best they can arrange some type of living accomodations. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to provide any, sorry. I hope that you follow through because the streets are no place to live, especially as a woman. I am hoping that in some small way my advice will help you in your attempt to getting home. There's no place like home. If you are successful please come back yo this forum and let us know. I am hopeful and trusting that by God's grace somebody in a much better position than myself reaches out to help you. Afterall, we are our brother's in this case sister's keeper. I wish you all the best and look forward to a great outcome in this matter. Take care and God bless you. Love and Peace, Maria!

Belongers are free to commit terrorism against foreigners as long as its within the BVI. The USA won't shoot
you if you commit your crimes within your own turf. But if you are on US soil, its open season. heh heh....

The ignorance is real in this place…firstly immigration is responsible for Border Control therefore they have the authority to close/open ports of entry “when/if” necessary. Ports of entry don’t close unless it’s a serious issue or outrageous inclement weather. It amazes me how everyone seems to know “Immigration laws/roles” when in fact most don’t even have a clue. Can’t really blame the public too much because even officers who have served for donkey years don’t know their own laws or what they’re permitted to do. Reading is fundamental and understanding is another part of it. If you all know how serious the job of an immigration officer is… y’all wouldn’t be so quick to cast judgment or assume.
