ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - New Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Wayne L. Rajbansie, while addressing legal professionals, in a commemorative speech for the new law year, stated that he is “actively engaged in regular meetings with stakeholders to revolutionize the criminal justice system.”

He disclosed this information while at the High Court in Road Town for the special sitting on September 18, 2012. Briefly, Mr. Rajbansie said “this initiative will dovetail with the existing and ongoing reform instituted by the Supreme Court of the OECS.”

He stated that meetings were held at the Supreme Court and the office of the DPP with His Lordship, Justice Albert Redhead, Senior Magistrate Valerie Stephens, Commissioner of Police David Morris, Court Executive Administrator Francis Letang and other Stakeholders.”

DPP Rajbansie further stated that “The overall goal is to address proper case flow management, identify and reduce and or eliminate delays in the existing system, and address the short comings of the criminal justice administration.”
