GREAT HARBOUR, Jost Van Dyke, VI- The operation of a late ferry from Jost van Dyke could be the step up for increasing revenue for participating restaurants of the upcoming Jost Lime & Dine.

The event hosted on Jost van Dyke kicks off the 2025 edition of the BVI Food Fete on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14, 2025, under the theme for the evening ‘Love in Every Bite’, a Facebook post on BVI Food Fete’s page said.

Director of Tourism Mr Clive L McCoy said, “We worked closely with the Jost van Dyke community to find ways to support local businesses, and the consensus was that a late ferry service would be transformative.”

Special 10:45 PM ferry

In response to the request a specially arranged ferry departure at 10:45 PM from Jost van Dyke by New Horizon Ferry, will allow for visitors and residents on Tortola to enjoy dinner and evening entertainment on the sister island.

According to information from the BVI Tourist Board & Film Commission (BVITBFC), the exclusive culinary experience, open to residents and visitors will see patrons “savour the flavours and nightlife of Jost van Dyke”.

Patrons of the event’s first night who will travel to the island via ferry will receive complimentary roses and enjoy a romantic photo opportunity on a red carpet. Couples and groups can enter a photo contest to win a romantic dinner for two or other prizes.

Event showcases Jost van Dyke’s culinary culture 7 nightlife

The Jost Lime & Dine is an exciting month-long event as well as the BVI Food Fete’s opening act. Beginning on February 14, 2025, Jost Lime & Dine will continue every Saturday and Sunday until March 16, 2025.

According to the public notice Jost Lime & Dine was created to “showcase the vibrant culinary culture and nightlife of Jost van Dyke.

Mr McCoy added that combining the island’s legendary beach bar scene with its dining options inspired the concept of the event.

The March 1, 2025, edition will be held under the theme ‘Lime in White Night’ and guests are encouraged to dress in elegant white attire.

15 restaurants participating in Jost Lime & Dine

A total of fifteen restaurants have signed up to participate in the 2025 Jost Lime & Dine. They include: Tipsy Shark, Pinky’s Delight, Foxy’s Taboo, Foxy’s Tamarind Bar, Cool Breeze, Coco Loco’s, Hendo’s Hideout, Sydney’s Peach and Love, Gertrude’s, Abe’s By The Sea, Ivan’s Stress Free, Ali Baba’s, Alice’s, Harris’ Place, and Corsairs.

“Continuing the success of last year’s promotion, we are thrilled to see that once again fifteen of the island’s restaurants will participate in this year’s promotion,” Mr McCoy said.
