Jehovah’s Witnesses return to door-to-door ministry in VI
However, the visitation work of the religious organisation was suspended for two and a half years over the COVID-19 pandemic.
Door-to-door Ministry & Bible study
Nevertheless, Jehovah’s Witnesses will resume their door-to-door ministry beginning September 1, 2022, in the Virgin Islands.
Additionally, it will launch a global campaign featuring an interactive programme for Bible study.
The religious group in a press release noted, “The decision to resume their door-to-door ministry marks the complete restoration of all pre-pandemic in-person activities for the 241 Jehovah’s Witnesses in the 4 congregations in the British Virgin Islands. Houses of worship (called Kingdom Halls) were reopened on April 1, witnessing in public places resumed on May 31 and in-person conventions are again being planned for 2023.”
Lydia Turnbull ready!
One local Jehovah’s Witness Ms Lydia Turnbull from Road Town, Tortola remarked, "I miss seeing the expressions on the householders' faces while talking to them in the ministry."
Mrs Turnbull will heading out to the neighborhood in the coming weeks and said she is happy and looking forward to returning to the house-to-house ministry.
Saving lives!
The JW organization added that the suspension of the public ministry was a proactive response by the organisation to keep communities and congregants safe. The move was also unprecedented.
“Jehovah’s Witnesses had been preaching from house to house without interruption for more than 100 years through an economic depression, two world wars and global unrest, but COVID- 19 demanded a different response.”
“We believe that the early decision to shut down all in-person activities for more than two years has saved many lives,” said Robert Hendriks, spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Mr Hendricks added that Jehovah's Witnesses are ready and eager to reconnect with their neighbors via person-to-person and face-to-face interactions.
“It’s not the only way that we preach, but it has historically been the most effective way to deliver our message of comfort and hope.”
The return to an in-person ministry coincides with a global campaign to offer an interactive Bible study programme, available in hundreds of languages and offered at no cost. The course comes in the form of a printed book, online publication or as an embedded feature within the organisation’s free mobile application, JW Library.

Enjoying the faces of displeasure she imposes on folks?
Narcissism is evil and a demonic force.
Stay out my yard if you please.
erpretation. They segregate from other denominations.. Their strategy is to ask people questions about God and biblical doctrines and if you don't know the Bible, they will be happy to teach you their beliefs. Don't be hostile to them. Just gently let them know you are not interested in cults. You need to study the Word of God from the orthodox king james translations if you really want to understand what was translated from the Greek, Hebrews and Latin transcripts or scrolls. Din't be afraid to challenge the arguments of the JWs. Some of their teachings resembles apostacy. But God loves everybody. Pray for them.
Two ladies from the largest church in caricom died recently because they could not get anyone in their 3000 member congregation to give them a pint of blood. Why because they were all vaccinated.
Yet Jesus who you preach shed his blood on calvary and you would not give a spoonful of blood to save a life. If Jesus come back to earth and ask you all false sects to give Him a teaspoon of blood you would kill Him for a second time. What are you knocking my door for. Stay far away from me.
If all of the religious demonstrations can come together in one accord for real and in very best internet of the territory we might see some change
I recall the good old days when this place was very tranquil but now we have gun play: progress and development comes at a very high price if not regulated
The look on my face only says "GO THE HELL AWAY" followed by cuss words and r**k throwing.
Nuisance
Trespassers
Intrusive
Uninvited soliciting does not contribute to being neighborly. It creates negativity and ill will. Begone!!!
It’s not my cup of Joe, but they are always so pleasant to say hello to, so stop crabbing about them.
When I was sick a few years ago, I asked a Jehovah witness work colleague about some of the medical alternatives to blood transfusion that their religion use, because I did not want blood transfusion either and I am not a member of the religion. They gave me a video and I’ve learned a lot about different alternative. Ask for a copy of the video. Even John Hopkins university study says that blood transfusions are still overused and can do more harm than good in some patients.
They are trained to preach but the Christian ministry they can not handle as it involves thinking for yourself about the god from whom we did gain knowledge of right & wrong not simply blind belief to prewritten texts.
If everyone stopped and listened to their heart we would throw out old rules and come to understand Jesus more specifically what he wanted us to learn. What he wanted us to learn when he worked & healed on the sabbath.
Love each other forgive each other live for each other! There is no greater love.... That’s it.
JW is too fanatical about its rules it’s basically a cult everyone wants to be one of the chosen few.
Cmon what is really preaching is intolerance & conditional love. Be perfect or else.
Divine love is unconditional. Stop spinning god loves us all. The kingdom of heaven is within man yet many move through life preaching hell & focusing on hell. Oh no a birthday gift. Oh no a blood transfusion. Have some faith.
God won’t stop loving you if you eat a pork rib while thinking it’s beef.
