Instead of creating more programs to stimulate and foster young minds, they engage them in pageantries. GOSH!

You all always with some negativity! Why you don’t create something! Always hoping for others to do what you all want! The audacity! I think it was a great idea, as well as many more fyi! Go get a life!

Pageantry is integrating STEAM into the teaching and learning process. It brings out the A in STEAM which stands for Art. This has taught the girls to be poised, be respectful of themselves and others and it build their self esteem. It is not easy to go in front rint of people like you apparently and perform like they did. It also helped them with their processing skills because they have to remember alot. My mama always used to say if you have nothing positive to say shut up. Colleges high schools etc does pageantry. I am disappointed in you Christmas Vibes you sound foolish

Seems like we ran out of things to involve our children in. This is very disappointing .

This is indeed very disappointing. Angel of Christmas? What’s next? Angel of New Years? Whose bright idea was this? You mothers is just as bad. They were better off putting on a Christmas play like the Nut Cracker

How is this even close to disappointing??? You obviously a hater and don’t have nothing else to do but run your mouth talking foolishness! Whats the difference with a Christmas concert and a pageant? Isn’t both of them basically the same idea! Christmas!!!!

@Confused - you seem confused. The difference between a Christmas concert is for joy and entertainment and spreading cheer. This was a pagent, a competition where someone wins and the other lose, one of heavy disappointment felt amongst the little ladies. Take a seat, you've been schooled.

Can’t be schooled from your school! Everything about that pageant was about Christmas! And the participants knew there will only be one winner! It wasn’t any surprise fyi!!! It was by will not forced! You take a seat!!! And again it did spread holiday cheer and joy!!!

Each person is entitled to to his/her opinion. I commend the school for taking a different approach to the usual Christmas concert. To those who have a problem with the pageant, let me say this: there are many ways to teach and learn. I know that you guys view the pageant in a negative light, but that is your view. The young girls were able to gain self confidence and hone their public speaking skills, something many adults have great difficulty with. I’m sure that they learned how to work as a team in putting on the event. They had to practise to be able to perform the talent segment.

Kudos to the teachers, parents, chaperones and especially to the girls for a marvelous performance. And to those who only see negatives, perhaps a visit to Vision Centre may help you to see the positives as well.

Congratulations to each young lady and May you move forward with poise, confidence and the assurance that you are fantastic.

For crying out loud it's not that bad. Schools have to find ways to fund raise. This was an innovative idea instead of the usual Christmas program. I'm sure the children learnt so much. Besides having fun they will build their public speaking and self esteem. Congrats to the students teachers and parents.Job well done.

The thing is, no one on the Island have/can come up with any thing creative or mind blowing. Everything is done sub par and in a low class way.

Congratulations to those who made the effort to create and participate.
I have a suggestion. Perhaps a component could be added to encourage the spirit of Christmas. Participants could create and execute a project such as raising funds or collecting items for the Family Support Network or they could raise funds or collect toys or books for the Angel Tree project or something else that gets them to look beyond themselves and give back to their community.
