BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI - Social commentator and clergyman Claude O. Skelton-Cline has described Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline E. Vanterpool as an "inconvenient presence" that hinders the United Kingdom (UK) from implementing certain plans related to the territory's security system.

"I believe this is the official arm of the United Kingdom. They have things they want to do, and Jackie is an inconvenient presence," he remarked during his radio show, "Honestly Speaking," on ZBVI 780 AM, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, while speaking against Governor Daniel Pruce’s decision to remove Ms Vanterpool as Acting CoP.

Skelton-Cline emphasised the importance of Virgin Islanders standing up for one another, stating, "We as a people need to stand up for each other, but more importantly, we need to stand up for our women."

Jackie takes her position with strength & honour

He added, "Jackie stands up. Jackie knows the rules and regulations we are governed by. She takes her position quietly, with strength and honour, and because they can't navigate and work through that and with that, they're pushing her out."

The social commentator also noted, "Jackie is somebody's daughter and those of you, let me deal with you, who are talking. Sooner or later, there may be some time in your life, or in the life of your daughter, or in the life of your son, that you will need somebody to speak up on their behalf without explanation."

Speak on her behalf

Skelton-Cline concluded that Vanterpool, who hails from Virgin Gorda, has demonstrated an exemplary life among us, showing her prowess, and "we are commanded" to speak on her behalf.

A march was planned for this afternoon, from the Road Town Police Station to the Office of the Governor, where a signed petition is to be given to Mr Pruce.

Jackie is now an excuse or reason, or a foot ball for those who seek fame. Jackie to me is Weak , a weak leader, no wonder she didn't get the position, she allows this clown show to continue and allow herself to be a political football. Accept the Governor's decision or if you think she was treated unjustly or unlawfully take it to the courts...Jackie you almost 65. You disappoint me...

Oh no. That radio is back on.

The democracy march was going to the HoA. Someone will have to be designated to walk over to the Governors with the petition or he can just look at it on line.

Give up Claude - seriously, nobody cares what you think. You have personally damaged the reputation of my beautiful country, and you cannot be forgiven for that. Look at your own sins before even opening your mouth.

I can never forget that bad experience I encountered with Jackie Vantapool. Pure disgrace and disappointment. No justice no peace and no position too. Too bad mind.

My encounter with Jackie was not nice. She is not a people’s person. Being commissioner of police is not a ceremonial post. Besides that them criminals these days not playing. Jackie can’t even walk without wobbling much less protect anybody with her bad attitude.

Bishop you have tried to stir up trouble and failed.
Time for you to take stock of your past actions and be quiet. M’s Vanterpool as a senior police officer you should be doing your job and stopping this nonsense, not adding fuel to the fire. Time has come for you to retire.

Virgin Islanders in serious trouble and don't recognize it. Their wicked ways of envy jealousy greed and bad mind have caught up with them. A lot of the evil deeds that have been committed have been swept under the rug while they pretend that going to church or calling out Jesus name is the perfect cover. The world has been watching your demonic performance`for a long time remember the antics of Andrew Fahie and how he was dealt with. He set himself up for his take down and wounded the entire nation in the process while pretending to be holier than thou. I have noticed that expatriates have also caught on and are playing the system like a fiddle with the Jeezus shuffle the entire system is so fake. The young people are burning with anger which is getting the best of many of them resulting in hideous crimes. Its one big ball of confusion and frustration while no one seems to know how or where to start. Every one that you think you can put your trust in is only interested in gaining a pecuniary advantage. We are living in HELL pure sin and shame.

    @ THE NAKED TRUTH:

I see or what you mean, but the TRUTH is not naked, but rather fully clothed in eternal righteousness.

But to the contrary. Wickedness is as naked as a new born baby, wrongfully unashamed, and ignorantly showing off.

If Jackie were given the Police Commissioner’s position would she have been UN-BIASED in carrying out her duties? Don’t think so. She was already AGAINST the vetting process. The question is WHY?
