SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- Veteran basketball coach and organiser Mr Milton C. McLean continues to have the youth engaged in basketball even as many of the sport’s facilities across the Territory have been destroyed due to the hurricanes in September 2017, forcing the cancellation of various basketball and other sports tournaments.

With the Sea Cows Basketball Court in playable condition, Mr McLean has wasted no time in organising leagues for the upcoming basketball stars.

The latest is the Sea Cows Bay Basketball Club (SCBBC) Easter League, which saw action on Sunday February 25, 2018 in the 13-15 Division.

Too hot to handle

Buzzer Beaters were no match for the talented Kymal T. Panchoo and Hotter than July in the lone game played.

Hotter than July won 30-19 with Panchoo sinking 12 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, making 3 steals, and 1 assist.

Jason Audain supported with 7 points, 2 rebounds and 3 blocks while D'jahniah Pemberton had 4 points, 2 rebounds and 3 steals.

The top scorer for Buzzer Beaters was Aaron Williams Jr, who finished with 7 points and a whopping 15 rebounds.

Jamar A. Thomas had 5 points and Shae'quon S. Spruave 4, also for Buzzer Beaters.

      Parents need to come out to support the youth men. Mr. Mac can't do it alone. He has shown it takes a village to raise a child so let's stop sleeping.

    A man who gives of his time. money and talent without any fanfare. We need more like him. I know my children are grateful for what he does for them.
