ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Word just reaching Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that interdicted policemen Pamphill Prevost and Simon Power, who were allegedly linked to missing money while they were executing search operations while on police duty between January 2012 to July 2014, have been found not guilty in the High Court.
According to reports, the not guilty decision came today, March 14, 2022, after a No-Case Submission was upheld in the retrial of the two interdicted officers.
The matter was heard by His Lordship the Honourable Justice Raymond C.S Williams in the High Court.
Prevost and Power had faced the charge of conspiracy to steal.
Attorney Terrance Williams represented Prevost and Attorney Israel Bruce represented Power.
The lead prosecutor was UK national John Black QC, who has already lost a few cases in the VI.
