‘I asking you to endorse my people, my party, my friends’- Gov Albert A. Bryan Jr

- said the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) team has been ‘tried & tested’
The popular Governor of the US Virgin Islands (USVI) Albert A. Bryan Jr has urged the people of the Virgin Islands (VI) to vote for the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) at the 2023 General Elections as he believes the VIP is a team that has been tried and tested and well capable of steering the territory out of the tough times. HUNTUMS GHUT, Tortola, VI- The popular Governor of the US Virgin Islands (USVI) Albert A. Bryan Jr has urged the people of the Virgin Islands (VI) to vote for the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) at the 2023 General Elections, as he believes the VIP is a team that has been tried and tested and well capable of steering the territory out of the tough times.

Further solidifying the sentiments that Virgin Islands Party governments have enjoyed and fostered a much better relationship with the US Virgin Islands than other administrations, Governor Bryan said the people of the two territories “are one people” and must work together.

The USVI Governor spoke at the launch of the elections campaign for incumbent Fifth District Representative Hon Kye M. Rymer in the parking lot of The Boys Gas Station in Huntums Ghut last night, March 18, 2023, when he endorsed the Virgin Islands Party.

‘Hard times make hard men’- Gov Bryan

According to the two-term Governor, who has family in the [British] Virgin Islands, he has great admiration for the last Virgin Islands Party Government, especially since it was able to weather the many storms that came its way, including the effects of the 2017 hurricanes, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the threat of a take-over by the British.

He said he read on the internet that good times make soft men and soft men make hard times, and hard times make hard men.

“But when you come through the hard times then you got good men and women, and you know and I know that we been through some hard times.”

No help from UK!

Governor Bryan also pointed out that through the struggles of the aftermath of the hurricanes and in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Virgin Islands received no help from the United Kingdom.

While the USVI was given millions of dollars by the US Government after the September 2017 hurricanes and through the COVID-19 pandemic, the Virgin Islands received no significant help from the UK.

“And the British Government kicking down the door, tough times, but never did they flinch.”

‘Endorse my party, my friends’- Gov Bryan

Governor Bryan said it was admirable that whenever he checked in with the VI government it was always in good spirits, “because we forged tough men and women.”

He said the Virgin Islands Party team has been through the wringer but is still standing and going strong.

“The admiration I have for a team that does not have a government that is sending down billions and trillions and millions, the admiration I have for people that in the darkest of days they could get up and they could still make it happen for the people of the British Virgin Islands.

“So tonight, if had to swim from St Thomas to come I was coming, you hear? Because I want to tell the people of the British Virgin Islands that you have a team that has been through the wringer, you have a team that has really strived and they have made it through...

“Tonight, I asking you to endorse my people, my party, my friends,” Governor Bryan stated.

Who exactly asked for Bryan's opinion. Not the voters of the BVI. And how will this look when one of the other parties wins the elections? Not good for him and not good for our relations with the USVI.

This man is a fool. He should know better than to take sides in a BVI (or any other country) elections.

HOW DARE THE GOVERNOR OF THE USVI journey to the British Virgin Islands to directly engage in such level of an offense of political interference in the Elections of THE BRITISH Virgin Islands?

This is THREATENING to our DEMOCRACY!

THE GOVERNOR OF THE US VIRGIN ISLANDS NEEDS TO CEASE HIS ACTIONS OF POLITICAL INTERFERENCE WITH THE BVI ELECTIONS OR BE FORCED TO RESIGN FROM THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR USVI.

This results in threatening reflections by the people of the USVI as they now seek to tie your affiliation with the ongoing illegal and corruptive acts promoted by the organization. I would advise you to go back in your office of the USVI and just watch over; no not interfere politically.

WTH wrong with this man. As the leader of another country you cannot endorse a political party of another country. That is uncouth and unprofessional. Stay out of their business until AFTER the elections. Things are going to be awkward for relationships with the two countries if VIP loses.

It is concerning when I see how some of these well organized attacks and rushed reports against the VIP has come now only during election time to try to negatively influence the people's mind against the VIP. For this reason I am sticking with them because they helped thousands of people whether they were VIP supporters or not during difficult times and we should not be ungrateful.

Let us look at NHi which was implemented by the NDP. It was not a bad venture but the intent was bad and the way it was implemented was bad. It started in millions of dollars in the red and it remains there without giving the people proper health insuramce coverage home and abroad. However it has made many NDP and PVIM friends and family enormously rich at the expense of the people which seems to have been the plan. Now those same friends and family can finance the NDP and PVIM (same party) election campaign and live well. They found a legal way to steal while we the people suffer and die for want. This is why they hate the VIP because they try to balance the scale between the haves and haves not. This is why my family and I are voting VIP ALL THE WAY!

We know all who have family in the audit office and helped to influence and write those reports behind closed doors that some how only started to be interested in the affairs of government from 2019. We know all who was meeting with the last Governor by night and now this one to work together to try to destroy the VIP for power. Just remember what you sow that you shall reap and worse. At least VIP do not sell out its people.

What I have noticed is the NDP and their supporters and some of PVIM are more verbal and aggressive than VIP supporters, so their propaganda gets out quicker and more dominant, so people tend to believe them but when their side is placed under a microscope, they also rush to defend the undefendable. When I sit back quietly and block out all the noise, I have decided to weigh all the facts and vote VIP all the way this time. The NDP has robbed us over and over and over again and somehow always gets away with it and become rich on the backs of the people. They avoid audit reports. They avoid COI reports. This is mysterious. The only NDP that ever got in trouble is Myron. This is indeed mysterious. Look at the $8 million dollar plane heist. Look at NHI and millions of dollars gone in friends and families' pockets while we the people are left to suffer or die due to no proper health insurance locally and abroad. Look at SSB land ridiculous land purchases. Look at who all they bought lands from and the ridiculous purchase prices. Look at the ridiculous contracts of over seventy thousand dollars a month at pasea to house our teachers and students to make a rich NDP friend supporter get even more money at the health and safety expense of our children. Now look at whenever they blame the VIP for questionable actions it is always where many residents legitimately benefit whether they support VIP or not. No one is perfect but it is for this reason I will not fall for their rhetoric anymore and vote for the lesser evil of them. VIP is the better option.

Speak for yourself. The one valid point you make that I will add upon is the Governor of the BVI and all of the UK overseas Territories needs to be an elected person also so they can be held accountable to the people and the laws of the land and not be allowed to be the law or act above the law. Tell this Governor in BVI that in spite of respect to his position/post to keep out of our election affairs.
