CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI – Tortola resident and Belonger Danny E. Dennevil, 34, was on January 16, 2025, sentenced to 92 days of imprisonment in the US Virgin Islands (USVI), following his plea of guilt to the charge of illegally bringing aliens to the United States.

According to the US Department of Justice, United States Attorney Delia L. Smith announced that Dennevil, alias Danny Dorcine-Turnbull, of Tortola, VI, was sentenced by Chief District Judge Robert A. Molloy.

According to court documents, on September 25, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations agents were patrolling United States waters in the area of Leinster Bay, St John, when they observed a small vessel traveling from the Virgin Islands towards Leinster Bay, USVI, without navigational lights, as required by law.

Agents observed the vessel, operated by Dennevil, arrive at Leinster Bay and two individuals disembarked.

Dennevil was attempting to smuggle 2 DR nationals into St John

Agents intercepted Dennevil’s vessel as he attempted to flee, while agents at Leinster Bay apprehended two Dominican Republic nationals who disembarked the vessel. Neither individual had legal status to be present in the United States.

When questioned by the agents, Dennevil, himself a Dominican Republic national with Belonger status in the Virgin Islands, admitted that he knew that Leinster Bay was not a legal port of entry and that his two passengers were citizens of the Dominican Republic.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations and the United States Coast Guard and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kyle Payne.

Known for human trafficking prostitution stealing these BVI have saturated its shores with the scums ,many are deportees living openly and freely while openly practicing their illegal crafts. Thank you USVI!! Your Gov is the sole sincere defender of the open borders in these waters that are gates to the USA and the other Worlds.

Hello racist MC… did you not see the person and persons are from Dominican Republic, why bring Haiti into it? His last name is Turnbull so that indicates ties to BVI, no? Your incoherent ramble was not even worth a response.

Go learn to read and write before spitting racist vitriol online.

So when he done serve his time in USA, will BVI revoke his belongers status and deport this undesirable back to his motherland so he can continue his profitable carrrer there?

Thats what SHOULD happen but this place jokey. or he might just smuggle himself back in and get another slap on the wrist yet again. All i going to say is until we start taking these things serious its going to continue. If the punishment going be nonsense like 3 months might as well quit your 9-5 and go run illegal aliens. 1 successful trip is probably more money than you making in 3 months at the office.
