DUFF’S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- Second District Representative Hon Melvin M. Turnbull and daughter M’Kyiah were crowned the winners of the Father and Daughter Show held on Father’s Day at the New Life Baptist Church in Duff’s Bottom, Tortola on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

The show, a fundraising event, also saw participation from Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) and his daughter Kamaria Wheatley.

Walter D. Barrett and his daughter D'Nesia also added to the ‘tight’ competition.

The show was held under the theme, “A Story of A Father and Daughter’s Love: A Bond like No Other”.

"The 2024 Father Daughter Pageant was truly a tremendous experience. I was delighted to play a supportive role with my amazing daughter, M’kyiah, who was the star of the show. Congratulations to our fellow contestants, the Wheatleys and the Barretts. Today is a Father’s Day I will cherish for years to come," Hon Turnbull stated on his social media page.

According to the New Life Baptist Church (NLBC) on their social media page on Sunday, June 16, 2024, “all duos displayed amazing talents, proved their father/daughter dynamic is filled with knowledge about each other, and they all  looked absolutely amazing in their evening wear.”

      I do not feel it was rigged but i do believe something went wrong. Thats my opinión you don't have to agree.
      However it was a beautiful show was very proud to see the bravery, the fun and most of all time sent with their children.
      Fun fun fun good job to all.

    While the country suffering we out here putting on a father's day show with prestigeous family who don't have to worry about their next meal, next rent due or next car problem from hitting a pot hole

    It was an amazing show. The competition was really tight, but it boiled down to who knows their daughter/dad the most
