ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- With Premier Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) away from the Territory until February 23, 2025, Deputy Premier Hon Julian Fraser RA (R3) is Acting Premier.

Honourable Julian Fraser; however, will be Acting Premier and Minister of Finance until tomorrow as he will be travelling to attend the CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting from February 18 to 22.

Honourable Fraser's appointment is in accordance with Section 55 (1) of the Virgin Islands Constitution Order, 2007, which states, "If the Premier is expected to be absent from the Virgin Islands for more than forty-eight hours, the Governor shall authorise the Deputy Premier to perform the functions of the office of Premier; and the Governor shall revoke this authority on the return to the Virgin Islands of the Premier."

Hon Kye M. Rymer next in line for Acting Premier!

Minister for Communications and Works Honourable Kye M. Rymer (R5) will also act as Premier and Minister of Finance from February 18 to 23.

These appointments are in line with Section 55(2) of the Virgin Islands Constitution Order, 2007, which states, "If both the Premier and the Deputy Premier are expected to be absent from the Virgin Islands for more than forty-eight hours, the Governor shall authorise another Minister designated by the Premier to perform the functions of the office of Premier; and the Governor shall revoke this authority on the return to the Virgin Islands of either the Premier or the Deputy Premier."

    When are they going to finish the work in Cows bay. By the time they are finish I will need a $3000 front end repair job.
    Now they are making a culvert across the road with no outlet to the sea. Really now. ITs 2 weeks now they are next to the Bakery with very little being done. I guess they just saw the light that they will need an outlet to the sew. Just like the road works by Queen Elizabeth Park when they realized half way through the work that it is a Dead End road. AT least it serves for parking now. What great expensive vision we have in Public Works.

    Don’t judge a book by its cover. Frazer is the most competent and most seasoned politician in the HOA right now. Like him or not, he knows and understands policies and parliamentary procedures. And to those who are upset, he is only acting in the absence of the premier.

    I always liked Honorable Frazier, but if you have been watching closely, he is half the man he used to be, seems tired to me, and really should retire.
