ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Virgin Islands Party Chairman and newly appointed Opposition Leader, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) is among four persons to be honoured on Sunday February 12, 2017 by the Zion Hill Methodist Church Senior Choir as part of Black History Month.

For the last eighteen consecutive years the Zion Hill Methodist Church Senior Choir has been celebrating Black History Month with an Annual Black History programme

“This programme is filled with Praises in song, dance and skits to our Lord and Saviour as our way of saying thanks for bringing us out of physical and spiritual slavery. Hence annually many groups from different denominations participate,” said President of the Zion Hill Methodist Church in West End, Marilyn T. Nibbs.

In addition, annually the Zion Hill Methodist Church Senior Choir honours four persons from the Virgin Islands community that have contributed significantly in a positive way to the community, territory and church.

“This year this tradition continues as we host our 19th Annual Black History month programme,” Nibbs stated, adding that the four persons that will be honored this year during the programme are Mrs Lyra Parsons, Ms Eleanor Smith-Pickering, Mr Wayne Robinson and Honourable Andrew A. Fahie.

“We take this time to recognise their consistent and positive contributions to the community, territory and in the work of the Lord in the church over many many years. May they never get weary in well doing.”

The Zion Hill Methodist Church Senior Choir Annual Black History Programme will be held on Sunday February 12, 2017 from 3:00 PM at the Zion Hill Methodist Church.

A few of U all may not like this. I think Hon. Ronnie Skelton and Ms Skeleton of Social security Deserve a black History month award. Lots of u all may not like NHI. If you know tthe large amount of poor black people NHI has help, young, middle age and old.. That to me deserves recognition..

Jealousy and tearing down our black men and women will always be prevalent among us once there's good and evil in this world. Congratulations Hon. Fahie and for those naysayers hope your day come one day to be honored.

@ facts man: you sound one of those loyalist who fraser brings in from the USVI to vote for him(try wake up) with Fraser at the helm the VIP were only able to secure 2 political seats and remember the VIP served this territory for over 40 years: put Fraser in charge of the VIP for only one-year and the man single handily mash up over 40 year of good political leadership: the VIP was the best party this territory ever had until Fraser took over(don't cuss me)

Have we all seen The Godfather? So many parallels as our story unfolds! This article reminds me of the scene where Michael attends his child's baptism, looking very pious.
