BALSAM GHUT, Tortola, VI- His Majesty’s Prison is the recipient of a new vehicle courtesy of the Ministry of Health and Social Development.

Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Vincent O. Wheatley (R9) said the vehicle is part of the ministry’s ongoing commitment to the development of the prison.

Honourable Wheatley said, “This is basically our commitment to the development of the prison. When you are transporting drivers and prisoners you make sure that they are safely and securely transported.”

The Minister added, “If they have to go for medical attention or for court purposes or whatever reason they have to leave the prison, we want to make sure they are secure. It is also part of our ongoing commitment to the development and reform of the prison.”

Superintendent of Prison Mr Guy M. Hill said the vehicle is reinforced with additional features to ensure the safety and security of both prisoners and prison officers when they are being transported to and from the prison.

“It means we have better transportation to escort inmates from point A to point B. So, it is more secure for the prisoners and officers as well and also in an efficient manner which is very important to us here.”

The Ministry of Health and Social Development remains committed to protecting the safety and security of prisoners and prison officers at His Majesty’s Prison.

what they need Mr. hotair Wheatley is an overhaul of the entire prison and all the trades that was taken away from the prisoners to keep them busy and learning a trade to be reinstated. You too like pictures and being in the spot light.

@vg waste of a vote minister when you fit in his shoes you would know what size shoe you wear. For now you are trying to find your size. Come next 4 years and see if you can fit in his shoe size when you grow with maturity. Start going shopping from now see if you can get the public stores to invest In purchasing your size for your foot growth then you can talk about wasted investment of a vote.

      You think LEADERSHIP is easy
You sit on the outside looking in but you really don't know whats on inside. It would be better for you to get firsthand knowledge about what is really happening then to post foolishness
