Help police 'get these killers off the streets'- Premier Wheatley
During a statement on JTV Channel 55, on October 22, 2022, Premier Wheatley said it was truly tragic to see two lives lost in such a senseless fashion, as he called on persons who would have witnessed the crime to cooperate with police "so that we can get these killers off the streets.”
The Premier also called on persons to generally stand up against violence and especially appealed to young men to turn their backs on a life of crime and violence.
“There are ways we can resolve our issues peacefully and violence only hurts all of us in the end."
He said following a life of crime and revenge only perpetuates a vicious cycle of violence, where there are really no winners.
“So it’s really not worth it to spend your life in prison or to lose your life, so we really want persons to do something different and turn a new page.”
'Tragic'
Premier Wheatley described the shooting as “very tragic”, noting that one of the persons killed recently buried his grandmother and now leaves a number of children fatherless, "and one of the children’s mother had already passed away and now that child is now without a father or a mother, so it is very difficult.”
In sending condolences to the families of both the murdered men, Premier Wheatley said one of the men killed is his cousin and member of his constituency while the other reportedly recently moved into the Seventh District and they would have had interactions on a number of occasions.
Premier Wheatley also wished the two persons injured a speedy recovery.

HIDE ANYMORE SO ITS SHOWING UP LIKE A MOUNTAIN NOW ,/ AND WE ALL SAW THE ONE IN FISH BAY ON VIDEO JUST THE WAY IT HAPPENED , AND STILL NOT A WO FRO THOSE HOLY HYPOCRITES & POLITICIANS WHO WERE PROTESTING IN THE STREET ( LOOKS LIKE THEY TURNED GHOSTS NOW ) ???? THIS ONE WASN'T CAUGHT ON CAMERA , THATS ALL ,/ OTHERWISE THEY WOULD OF BEEN HOLLERING AT THE COMMISSIONER AS IF HE DID IT
I too is vey concern. Howeverr the problem has being in development for many years.
However, no among of police help can stop the deadly trend. You and many others, I hope not you, may not accept this truth, but heart of the continuing problem is first a spiritual one that manifesses physically in the natural.
Moral training begins at home, not public schools, and certainly not on the streets. Yes, better policing will help to a point, but as people think so the speak and do.
Many that once believe that a Creator exist are now say saying that others that believe there is no God, but rather we are all god's. The whole world is in confusion. Along with physical progress comes many troubles.
We live a world of good and evil. We are the choice makers. Chose good, rather than evil. Within each of is is the power of choice. However, we must never give trying to curb evil. Fight on, but without faith in God our Creator power to overcome the evil powers of darkness, thing will continue as they are, only more of the same will continue happening.more often.
I also hope that the two others persons that were injured will quickly fully recovered from their injuries.
However, I heard that one of the person that was injured in the bar is a monor. do question. If this is true, I will say of the parent or guardian of the minor of careless judgement.
This particular area has seven bars in close proximity.
The is the third shooting death so far in this bars.
As far as I am concerned, this bar should be closed down permanent. Police vehicles drive by this particular bar daily, know of certain unlawful activities
Only when a death happened, they flooded the bar to investigate,. RVIPF step up your "Crime Stopper" activities. I know that you are trying, but you are required and paid monthly to do more.

My question is why in Gods world in this part of it the government don't closedown those two bars there in East End where the fatal shooting took place tell me why not ? O my God those bars are almost in the government public road. An innocent person walking or driving at that time could of been dead even a tourist walking on the road and get hit by Stray bullet and died. That bar has a new name .The reaper
Mr. Premier you all need an efficient and well rounded effective DPP. She cannot win no high profile cases.
