EAST END, Tortola, VI- The Iris Penn Smith Clinic in East End has been closed temporarily, the BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) announced.

In a notice to the public on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, the BVIHSA said the clinic will be closed effective January 14 “until further notice”. 

The closure has been explained as necessary for administrative adjustments and resource allocation aimed at optimising healthcare delivery within the eastern area of Tortola.  

“These adjustments will allow us to streamline operations and improve the overall efficiency of services provided to our valued clients,” the notice added. 

Services relocated to Long Look Clinic

In the meantime, all services offered at the East End Clinic have been temporarily relocated to the Rosalind Penn Clinic in Long Look. 

“Patients are kindly advised to visit the Long Look Clinic for medical care and other health-related services. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance our service delivery,” the BVIHSA notice stated.
