Gunshots ring out in area of Prospect Reef

SLANEY POINT, Tortola, VI- Reports reaching our newsroom indicate that persons in the area of Slaney Point and Reef Road allegedly heard gunshots in the wee hours of Monday, July 27, 2020.

At least six shots were reportedly heard and a vehicle was seen speeding away from the scene.

The matter was reported to police and, according to information reaching our newsroom, police visited the scene and allegedly recovered a number of spent shells.

It is unclear if any arrests have been made.

There are also reports shots were heard in Belle Vue sometime around 9:30 pm on July 26, 2020.

Our newsroom was told the gunshots were heard in the vicinity of a food van.
