TOWERS, Tortola, VI- Two separate shootings have been reported on Tortola this afternoon, November 27, 2024.

One of the shootings took place around 4:15 PM in the area of a dock at Towers on the western end of Tortola.

According to reports reaching our news centre, a gunman opened fire on a white rental Jeep as it was exiting the dock area.

The driver of the vehicle, who appeared to be the target, managed to exit the vehicle and escape.

No less than 6 shots fired

No less than 6 shots were reportedly fired and two bullet holes were visible on the windscreen of the rental Jeep.

The gunman and another person who was driving reportedly arrived at the dock area in a 'charcoal-coloured' Picanto. The two men speed off in the said vehicle following the shooting.

No one was reported injured.

Police are still on the scene conducting investigations.

Reports also reaching our news centre are that there was also a shooting in the Chalwell area of Tortola this afternoon.

It is unclear if anyone was injured.

    More undercover police & not a uniform in sight. High day light crime there is nothing to deter them. West End police station close and towers plus apple bay has the most people walking back and forth or relaxing. No a uniform police in sight. Maybe the undercover are sitting down sipping beer as the shots go off.
