‘Gumption’ slams Guavaberry Media for inaccurate reporting
According to the Guavaberry Media report, the vessel reportedly sank near Necker Island with seven passengers on board, who were seen swimming to a rescue vessel.
The report also suggested that Mr Creque himself was aboard the vessel at the time, but Creque’s statement on January 13, 2025, firmly refuted these claims.
Technical difficulty
Captain Creque has since described the event as one of “technical difficulty” that occurred shortly after 12:25 pm on January 11, 2025 and that while the issue was concerning, it did not escalate into the incident described in the media.
“I want to clarify in detail that there were only four passengers on board, not seven as was incorrectly reported; This misinformation has caused unnecessary concern, and I want to assure everyone that all four passengers are safe and in good health,” Creque explained in a social media statement.
According to Creque, the vessel did not sink as was inaccurately reported by Guavaberry Media and remains secure.
The businessman extended “heartfelt gratitude” to Beyond The Reef, “who I contacted to ensure we did not sink and placed our vessel on dry dock not long after. The Beyond the Reef team performed exceptionally well and deserves full support for their environmental initiatives. Special thanks also to the GM and boat captain of Necker for ensuring everyone’s safety.”
'Zero cancellations'
Mr Creque further said the registered vessel is secured at B&B Yacht Service and is currently undergoing minor maintenance. “It will be back on the water before my 42nd birthday on January 28th.”
Creque has since assured customers that operations remain unaffected and that all January bookings will proceed as scheduled.
“Gumption’s Experience BVI is open for business with zero cancellations,” he affirmed, aiming to dispel any doubts about the reliability of his services.
“Entrepreneurship is about embracing challenges as opportunities, turning obstacles into stepping stones, and finding the courage to forge ahead when the path seems uncertain; Success is not the absence of struggle but the triumph over it.”
Guavaberry Media’s history of false reporting
Guavaberry Media has a history of causing hysteria due to its false reporting.
Some customers of CIBC were thrown into a state of panic on October 22, 2024, when Guavaberry Media, in its apparent haste to be first to report the news, failed to do its due diligence and falsely reported that customers of that bank had discovered their bank account balances were at zero.
It turned out that the issue was actually with some customers of 1FirstBank.
Guavaberry Media, owned by the controversial Rosemary L. Rosan aka ‘Cindy’ subsequently corrected its misinformation and apologised to CIBC.
The local tabloid also created some unnecessary hysteria on October 13, 2023, when it falsely reported about a shooting in Long Bush and that two persons had been injured.
It was subsequently clarified that there was a “simulated” armed robbery exercise at the BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) office in Long Bush.

Hope the cyber act can shut down cra** girl
He says there were five in the boat (four passengers and captain); she said seven. He says there was a "technical problem", which will take two weeks to fix; she says it was sinking. As a boat owner, I know simple problems are fixed in a couple days. So this sounds more extensive. And if his boat wasn't taking on water, why did he need the various rescuers? Why get so pissy so fast? Just acknowledge you had boat trouble and say thanks to the boat's safety equipment and experienced captain no one was hurt.

To me this sounds like the vessel was sinking and was rescued.
Were the clients in the water swimming to the rescue?
Did the rescue vessel dock next to the ailing vessel and they switched over?
Is sinking defined as taking on water or totally under water?
This is important because, as a "news agency" you can't debunk details with generalities. Be specific! Tabloids often gain integrity by giving facts, not by calling their colleagues tabloids. CNN has to retract information, they are not called a tabloid. News agencies are not here to be nice they are to be FACTUAL. Be Better!
Cindy hates on everyone to get attention
There now doesn't the truth feel good?
