Grenada government signs 13 cooperation agreements with China
BEIJING, China- The Government of Grenada has officially signed 13 cooperation agreements with the People’s Republic of China.
The agreements cover a wide range of areas, including agriculture, energy and the environment, renewable energy, arts, culture, and tourism, and the blue economy.
This achievement marks the 20th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations, and solidifies China’s commitment to supporting the economy and people of the tri-island state.
"The resumption of our diplomatic relations in 2005 was marked by a journey defined by collaboration, mutual understanding, and shared aspirations. Today, we can reflect on this journey and affirm that our partnership has yielded remarkable benefits for the people of Grenada and China, significantly contributing to our national development," Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell said.
The agreements were signed by Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Export Development, Joseph Andall, and Minister for Economic Development, Planning, and Cooperatives; Agriculture and Lands, Forestry, and Marine Resources, Lennox Andrews.
Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell welcomed this significant achievement for the people of Grenada.
