DUFF’S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI – Minister for Health and Social Development, Hon Carvin Malone (AL) said that contrary to what is believed in some parts of the territory, the Fahie administration has no intention to track citizens with biological chips.

Hon Malone was at the time speaking on a government piloted Complete Health Improvement Programme (VI CHIP) at the Third Sitting of the Third Session of the Fourth House of Assembly on Thursday, November 12, 2020, in Duff's bottom Tortola.

“Over in Jost van Dyke it was being mixed up with a chip that has been talked about to track you... the only chip that we're going to enforce is a Complete Health Improvement Program. That is not a biological or a man-made chip that will go under your skin”

The Minister said using natural ways, the complete help improvement program can help fight off the Novel Coronavirus with vitamins and minerals.

The VI Advantage

“We have the sun, we have the sea, that is a benefit in terms of making this work as the other parts of the world have a clear case of cold weather,” Hon Malone said.

According to the Government Information Service, CHIP is a 10-week course that teaches participants how to boost their health and lead a healthier lifestyle with each session running for approximately two hours.

Public Health Coordinator, Ms Ivy George explained that CHIP was selected by the Government of the Virgin Islands as a community-based intervention programme for improving health, and reducing and preventing the non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

“The main reason the CHIP programme was selected was to provide members of the community who need a roadmap to guide them in a behaviour change lifestyle intervention,” Ms George said.

The Amish keep themselves to themselves. They don't mix with other people.

The Amish people stick to themselves but they are very nice people. Everything they make is from scratch. They ride around in horse drawn buggies. Most Saturdays we would drive up to Amish Country in PA to buy their goods. Everything is homemade and fresh. They are self sufficient people.

whats this another marketing and public relations disaster? Cant anybody in this administration hire someone who knows marketing? You seriously called a health initiative the CHIP program????Just like BVI Love and the reopening protocols, poorly communicated and a PR disaster. Here you actually have a great program that could help many in the BVI but due to terrible communication it will fail. Come on guys wake up its nearly 2021!

They cant even monitor the borders without the assistance of the navy and people think they could implement a biological chip tracking system?? If people dont like the idea of being tracked they would be better advised to delete their facebook apps and throw away their iphones.
