Governor Rankin hosts Christmas parties for the youth

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- His Excellency the Governor, John J. Rankin, CMG rang in the holiday season by hosting parties for children and young adults on December 2 and 3, 2021.

According to a press release from Government Information Service (GIS) on December 7, 2021, the two-day celebrations of merriment started at Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre where the Governor delivered Christmas gifts and read a festive story to the students.

The Governor then hosted students and adults from a number of different schools and organisations including Autism Centre clients, ABC Academy, Agape Total Life Academy, Alexandrina Maduro Primary School, Althea Scatliffe Primary School, Cedar, Valley Day (VG), Elmore Stoutt High School, Enis Adams Primary School (including Therapeutic Kindergarten), Ebenezer Thomas Primary School, First Impressions, Home Away from Home, Ivan Dawson Primary School, Joyce Samuel Primary School, St. Georges Secondary School, Wendell Potter Learning Centre, BVI Services - Social Development and Rainbow Children’s Home.

The Governor told the groups, “Christmas is a time for joy and celebration, inspired by the birth of Jesus Christ, and it is certainly beginning to look a lot like Christmas in BVI. I hope you are enjoying the Christmas decorations, treats and festive songs and have a blessed New Year.”

Activites included face painting, dancing, storytelling, and a Santa Claus visit with gift-giving. The Christmas Party is an annual event hosted by the Governor for children and young adults of the community.

  I feel the same way about the scamdemic. What people don’t know is that the so call omicron variant is those people who took the shot and lost their immune systems. So a simple cold is hard to fight off for them that’s why it’s a mild and less dangerous variant. People with good immune system will just shrug it off and keep it moving

      Seems legit to me if we are using common sense, doctors all across the world warned about the experimental jab that it could cause your immune system to deteriorate and it’s been long enough for that to be the case now. So things are adding up and I watched the video of the German doctor who was assassinated and saw the death on the news as well. Why would they kill him for just talking about his findings in the vaccines ? People are destroyed for lack of knowledge

        I am vaccinated 2x plus have had my booster. I have not gotten sick, even with a cold since the pandemic started, and since being vaccinated.
        All sorts of FAKE NEWS information has been put online and people, being fearful, believe it.
        I for one fear the effects of the Covid virus, and particularly Long Covid, more than I fear potential side effects of the vaccine to prevent Covid.

  @ Stop them. The children need to be told the truth from birth. There is no Strange man in a red suit who ever brought us anything except lies and deceit. My children have always known that Mom and Dad and family supplied them with everything and no stranger will ever take the credit for it. Some years we couldn’t get anything and that was fine because they knew the truth. If I had taught them about Santa, they would feel he didn’t care about them, but only a select few. If you want to do a disservice to your poor children then that’s on you, but my family is tired of all these lies and children being misinformed. We told them the story of how the Santa story came about, so they could never be disillusioned. Nothing wrong with that is it?
