ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- United Kingdom (UK) appointed Governor, His Excellency Governor Daniel Pruce, has been inducted into the Lions Club of Tortola as an Honourary Lion.

The induction of Governor Pruce is in keeping with the Club’s long-standing tradition of having sitting Governors of the Territory inducted as honourary members.

The induction took place during the Club’s Annual Awards and Induction Ceremony on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, by Past Council Chairperson, Lion Marvin O. Grant, MJF.

Governor Pruce was presented with the Club’s Emblem and Vest by Lion President Daphodil Sampson, MJF. He also received a welcome gift of a Lions Club signature tie, presented by Past President, Kedrick E. Malone, MJF.

The British Monarch has been the only leader of the Commonwealth of nations as if the leading the Commonwealth, a voluntary group, is hereditary. Mind the lions is not taken over by the UK-appointed Governor, the de facto head of state.
