Gold Rings & new Jr League ages for 2017 Hon Fraser B/Ball League
The League has announced that in celebration of its 5th year anniversary, the 2017 Championship team will be awarded gold rings. This is according to Chairwoman of the League Committee, Mrs Kharid T. Fraser.
She said in a press release issued April 25, 2017 that, “it was thought that as the League reached this milestone we had to do something different, and we thought that gold rings will be appropriate to show our appreciation to the players, coaches and managers for their hard work, commitment and dedication to the League.”
It is not clear at this time if Digicel BVI will be sponsoring the rings as they have done for the past three years, and Mrs Fraser told this news site she was not at liberty to disclose who the sponsor will be.
Nevertheless, the announcement is sure to add further excitement and intense competition among teams in this year's league.
Mrs Fraser promised; however, that in the coming weeks a date will be made public on the schedule of the 2017 season, which will begin in August.
