Glock pistol & 41 rounds of ammo seized; 8 taken into custody

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), on Wednesday, March 25, 2025, conducted search operations at five properties linked to suspects in recent armed robberies.

During the course of these operations, officers recovered a 9mm semi-automatic Glock pistol and a total of 41 rounds of assorted ammunition.

According to the RVIPF, in a press release on March 28, 2025, eight males were taken into custody as a result of the operations.

Police said three individuals were interviewed and subsequently released without charge, pending further investigation.

5 charged

The remaining five suspects have since been charged as follows:

Charged with Keeping an Unlicensed Firearm and Two Counts of Unlawful Possession of Explosives:
• Ernest Jacobs, 59, of Josiah’s Bay
• Prynce Jacobs, 19, of Josiah’s Bay
• A 16-year-old male of Josiah’s Bay

Charged with Two Counts of Robbery:
• A 14-year-old male of Purcell Estate

Charged with Overstaying Landing Permit:
• Ravie Joseph, 43, of Josiah’s Bay

Police said these robberies occurred at separate locations on Tortola on March 3, 2025.

One other minor was previously charged and remanded in connection with the same incidents.

    Most of those crooks from Josiah's Bay sound like a family gang of bad people. One overstaying in Josiah's Bay and one minor committing Robbery. Good job, RVIPF cleaning the swamp of RATS!

    Wow! Some serious stuff, its about time that the court make example out of these young criminals rhat are terrorizing the place. Too much of the gun related crimes are happening by our underage youth and because of their age they are not been sent to prison but back on the street to continue where they got interrupted. Its time for the Government to invest into a juvenile detention center to deal with them. Great job RVIPF

      The one in the middle is the 19 year old… the 16 year old who was not mentioned or picture was not displayed is the young brother. The father is the Rasta man with the gray and black locks… the father never put down his foot with these boys, now he getting the result of his bad parenting skill Or lack of it

    This children mother needs to get her children them in order. I can’t see the reason why her children are not living where she’s living. The children are left to be on their own most time because both parents are just foolish. Social development needs to step in. The funny thing is she’ll leave her children and minding another man own. Girl wake up they are your go look for your children them.

      These children are hardened criminals. Their mother can’t do a thing to help or change them at this point. Her best bet is to get on her knees and pray. Those boys are rude beyond measure. Not even their father can handle at this point.
