George Rodney & Rosemarie Flax re-elected President & VP of BVI Christian Council
This follows their re-election at the BVICC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Elections held at the Living Waters Worship Center in Sea Cows Bay on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
Apostle George was first elected President on March 27, 2023, while Mrs Flax was first elected Vice President on February 21, 2022.
Also re-elected is Secretary, Pastor Lesia Grazette of Deliverance Restoration Outreach Ministries.
Bishop Kenneth Hodge of NTA Living Hope Ministries has replaced Pastor Nolma Chalwell as Treasurer, while Chalwell will serve as Assistant Secretary.
The Assistant Treasurer is Bishop Colin Cousins of New Testament Church of God.
New PRO
There is a new Public Relations Officer (PRO), as Reverend Sandra Walters-Malone of St Paul’s Episcopal Church was elected. She replaces Reverend Dr Melvin A. Turnbull. The Assistant Public Relations Officer (PRO) is Reverend Erick V. Alexander of Methodist Church.
The Media Officer is Pastor Ve-Anna Thomas of Trinity Moravian Church, while the Ex-Officio Member to Virgin Gorda/Sister Islands is Bishop Paul Ricketts of New Testament Church of God.
President’s areas of focus
According to a press release from BVICC today, March 14, 2024, the newly formed Executive Committee is expected to have their first meeting within the coming days, to charter the way forward for the Council.
In sharing his vision for the next term, President Rodney cited three areas of focus: Unity, Youths and Social Ills in the community.
